B280F was a shitty engine.. BUT... I agree with the noooooo.. V8 in a 240, 740 or something? YES please... in a 780?? NOPE nope nope NOPE.. That'd be like purchasing a matching numbers Hemi 'Cuda and drop a 572 GM Crate engine in it... IT is simply not done.

Don't get your hopes down! E30s pop up quiet often in that price range
(though not as often as E36 M3s or RX8s pop up in the 5-10k range)
